And away we go...

This afternoon it seemed like the heavens were having their say over Hilton and Pietermaritzburg and that we might need an Ark rather than bus to get up to Spioenkop tomorrow. Fingers crossed for fine weather and a warm day to start our journey in the morning.

Many miles will be put on all these boots before the girls come back next week. Its going to be an exciting, exhausting and uplifting time. Please remember if you need to contact me in case of emergency, please refer to the cell number listed in Cathy Thomson's last email sent to parents on Friday 14 March. Send me an sms and we will take it from there.

I am so looking forward to this as both a parent and a support driver. The excitement was tangible at school today and I can tell you from first hand viewing of their provisions, that the girls have been very well-catered for by Paula and her kitchen staff. Thank you so much to them.

A very special thank you to Cathy Thomson for all her months of input and effort in launching this wonderful adventure at Wykeham. Our girls are extremely privileged to have this superb opportunity.

My next blog will be 'on the road...' so please bear with my phone-blogging attempts.
Farewell for now
Tracey

  1. All the very best to Cathy Thomson, her support staff and of course the grade nine girls. Have a great adventure on this, the first ,TWC Journey. See you all on Saturday when I visit my support staff and blogger wife Tracey with the rest of the Joubert flock.
